What else you can do

FOOTBALL HEAVEN

You can watch your favourite team here in Krakow !!! If you are a big fan of sports, Football Heaven Bar is a real heaven for you. Located at the edge of the Old Town, it's a walking distance from most of the hostels and hotels in the centre. For more info check their facebook at www.facebook.com/FootballHeavenBar.

TAKE A STROLL ALONG THE VISTULA RIVER BANKS

You can walk along the Vistula banks for a few kilometers. There is also a bike path so you can hire a bike and have a ride. Take some food with you and stop for a picnic when you are tired. I recommend this walk especially at the sunset time.

HAVE A BOAT TRIP ON THE VISTULA RIVER

There are boat trips a few times a day on the Vistula River. They start in front of the Wawel Castle and will take you across the city as the river cuts it in two halves. You can see beautiful views unavailable from the ground and relax having a drink at the same time.

SEE CRACOW FROM THE BALLOON

Next to the Grunwaldzki Bridge a unique attraction is waiting for you – you can fly up in a balloon to admire the views of Cracow from the sky. Don’t be afraid – the balloon is tied with the line, sure you will come back to the ground.

TASTE THE NIGHTLIFE IN KAZIMIERZ

Go to a few of the Kazimierz pubs or restaurants. They are all situated in a small area so you can try a lot of them and choose the perfect one for you. However at weekends they can be very crowded so start looking for some place at about 7 pm.

SEE CRACOW BY NIGHT

The places that you have seen in the daylight look quite different at night! Most of them are beautifully illuminated and have a special charm at night. Walk around the Market Square, along the Royal Way and have a look at the Wawel Castle, especially from one of the bridges over the Vistula River. Kazimierz is also a perfect place for a night stroll.

SPEND ROMANTIC MOMENTS

Are you looking for a romantic place to propose to your girlfriend or spend your honeymoon? Cracow is an ideal place full of magic and romantic scenery. Take your beloved for a ride in a horse carriage around the Old Town and she will feel like a princess.

AUSCHWITZ

Everybody should visit the former German Nazi concentration camp in Oświęcim – Auschwitz. Although it’s the part of the most tragic history of Poland and Europe, many people don’t realize it until they see it with their own eyes. It’s only 80 kilometres west from Cracow. Auschwitz and Birkenau museum is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

WIELICZKA SALT MINE

Wieliczka Salt Mine is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. The visit there is a unique walk 100 metres underground in the corridors of the salt mine which started working in the 13th century and still works at the lower levels producing excellent salt. Beautiful chambers and chapels with salty sculptures – that’s what you will see. This underground walk is very healthy for everybody, particularly for people who have problems with the respiratory system. Wieliczka is only 10 kilometres from Cracow.

ZAKOPANE

It’s a lovely village surrounded by the Tatras which are the highest mountains in Poland. To go there you should devote the whole day and start early in the morning because the journey to Zakopane can take up to 2,5 hours depending on the traffic, although it’s only 110 kilometres away from Cracow. In Zakopane you can walk in the main Krupowki Street, go to the fair where the mountaineers sell their regional products or go to the top of Gubalowka mountain by the funicular railway to admire the Tatras panorama.

Please, notice that our unique tours are run only by the guides with our RED SIGN WITH THE DRAGON. Look for it in front of St. Mary’s church at the Main Market Square.
